186k COMPLETES MILLION POUND PURCHASE OF INVADE
PUSHING forward with his robust acquisition strategy, Dominic Marroccos 186k, the fast-growing B2B ISP, has completed the acquisition of Invade International Limited, the UKs leading telephony management software specialist, for a consideration of around a million pounds.
This latest acquisition gives Marrocco the opportunity to provide VoIP services to his rapidly growing business customer base.
We are steadily growing our portfolio of services, said Dominic Marrocco, who last October bought 186k Limited, following a £½ billion investment by its previous owners NGT/Lattice Group.
The software that Invade has developed is second to none in its functionality, winning them some prestigious contracts over the past few years; such as the National Opinion Polls, Wembley Arena and Andrew Lloyd Webbers Really Useful Theatre Company, to name but a few.
Invade services include:
Specialist voice applicationsCRM for Call Centres
IVR (Interactive Voice Response)
Distributed telephony solutions using VoIP
IP Centrex distribution over an ADSL connection
Invades client base are reporting huge cost savings and boasting better call management by utilising the software, continues Marrocco. We can now offer a far more comprehensive business package, which delivers proven benefits to the end user.
Marrocco has confirmed that there are no requirements to relocate Invade from its Bristol-based HQ and that there will be no planned loss of staff in this acquisition.
186k Limited:
186k was formed in April 2000 by Lattice Group with an aim to become the leading provider of network services powering the UK broadband economy. To this end, it constructed a next-generation nationwide IP network, delivering cost-effective, secure, reliable, high-speed telecoms and data services. It was successful in attracting major blue chip companies, including Hutchison 3G who built their UK mobile network on the 186k infrastructure. In late 2002, National Grid Transco (the sole owner of Lattice and 186k) underwent a strategic review to withdraw Lattice from the altnet sector and divested its assets. 186k Ltd has the majority of the data centres with right to use options on the fibre network. 186k was bought in 2004 by Dominic Marrocco to use as a vehicle to drive consolidation within the converged communications sector.
Invade International Limited:
As the UKs leading telephony management software provider, Invade's suite of communication engines is a result of a radically different approach to computer telephony. The developers went back to basics to build a PC-based telephony engine from first principles. No preconceptions, no artificial limitations - just blindingly fast voice and data switching, totally configurable call control and automatic capture of complete information on every interaction.
